Ref—06 / Privacy Plain-language draft

Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what running your events requires, we use it for that, and your customer data is yours. This is a plain-language draft; the formal document will replace it before general availability.

What we collect

Account details for organizers (name, email, organization), order details for buyers (name, email, tickets purchased), and the operational records needed to run events — check-ins, refunds, and payment references. Card numbers never touch attendee systems; payment details are handled by Stripe.

What we use it for

Running your events: delivering tickets, admitting people at the door, settling and reconciling money, and sending the emails you or your buyers asked for. Marketing email goes only to people who consented, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe.

What we never do

We do not sell personal data. We do not market other organizers’ events to your buyers. We do not use buyer data for advertising audiences. Your customer list is yours.

Where it lives

Data is stored with our hosting and payment providers (including Stripe for payment records) and retained while your account is active or as required for financial record-keeping. Organizers can export their data as CSV.

Your choices

Buyers can unsubscribe from marketing at any time and can ask for their data to be corrected or deleted by writing to hello@attendee.events. Organizers control their own customer data and can export or delete it from the product.
