The terms governing use of attendee by event organizers, in plain language.

In plain language

The service

attendee provides event-ticketing software: event pages, checkout, ticket delivery, door apps, and financial reporting. Organizers are responsible for their events — their content, their compliance, and their obligations to their buyers.

Payments

Card payments are processed through the organizer’s own Stripe account under Stripe’s terms. attendee charges a ticket transaction fee on paid online event ticket sales, as published on the pricing page. Refunds are issued by organizers from their own accounts.

Scanner access

attendee scan is free. There are no subscription, license, device, or software-access fees for the scanner. Payment does not unlock scanner features. Organizers can use the scanner for free events as well as paid events.

Acceptable use

No fraudulent events, no resale of the service, no use that breaks the law or Stripe’s terms. We can suspend accounts that put buyers’ money or data at risk.

Liability

The service is provided as-is during the beta period. Our liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months. We are not a party to the transaction between organizers and their buyers.

Changes

We will give notice before material changes to these terms or to pricing, and continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

attendee alerts SMS terms

attendee alerts is an optional operational text-message program from Attendee Events LLC for signed-in attendee organizer users with US mobile numbers. It sends notifications to you about automations you configure, such as ticket purchases and event check-ins, when an automation reaches a Text me step. The program also sends number verification codes and an enrollment confirmation. It does not send promotional messages or enroll ticket buyers in organizer alerts.

To enroll, open Your account > Text alerts and select Turn on text alerts, or start enrollment from a Text me automation step. Enter your own mobile number, select the SMS consent checkbox, which is unchecked by default, and request a verification code. Enter the code to verify your number and enable alerts. You must be authorized to use the number you provide. Consent is optional and is not required to use attendee or make a purchase. Agreeing to general terms, providing a phone number for another purpose, or consenting to email marketing does not enroll you in this program.

Message frequency varies based on the automations you configure and how often their Text me steps run. Each time an eligible automation reaches that step, it can send you an alert. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider about your plan. Delivery depends on carrier and network availability; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You may receive a final opt-out confirmation; no further program messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You can also select Turn off texts in Your account. To enroll again or change your number, return to Text alerts and complete the consent and verification flow. Turning off alerts does not close your attendee account.

We do not sell mobile information or SMS consent records or share them with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
